MLK Day: Extended Open Play Hours!

Monday January 16th is Martin Luther King Day! Schools celebrate by closing down, but we are celebrating at the gym by offering extended Open Play hours. Open Play will run 11:15 to 3pm, almost a full 4 hours! We’re looking forward to seeing you here.

Post-holiday Parent’s Night Out is this Friday.

To help you get over the holiday hustle The Playground Gym will host two Parent’s Night Outs in January. The first is this Friday, January 6th! The second will be our normal last Friday of the month, January 27th. Drop your children off in a safe, structured environment while you get to enjoy that grown-up movie you’ve been eyeing, watch the Blazers’ beat the Suns, grab a bite to eat or just enjoy a nice evening of peace and quiet! Head out for some quality adult time while your children have an absolute blast.

Drop them off promptly at 6:30 and pick them up by 10. While you’re out playing a bit, they’ll experience a night filled with open-gym time, organized, skills-building activities, mind-engaging games a yummy pizza dinner, and a late night movie on our 12′ projection screen! They’ll be all tuckered out when you pick up your little ones and you’ll be delighted with your night out on the town. Pre-registration is required and spaces are limited, so please register by 5pm the day before. Call or email the gym today to reserve your spot.

Holiday Schedule Changes.

Our SOLD OUT Winter Camp runs December 19th-23rd. All classes and Open Plays on the schedule before 3:30 will not be happening on those dates due to camp. The afternoon/evening schedule remains unchanged.

The gym will be closed December 24th-January 1st so our staff can spend quality time with their friends and families over the holiday. We will return to our regular class and Open Play schedule beginning Monday, January 2nd.

Winter (camp) Is Coming.

Before you know it the kids will be out of school for winter break and climbing the walls in anticipation for the holidays. Unsure what to do with them while you make preparations and finish up the last details? We’re not! Send them to The Playground Gym Winter Camp. Our camps are like no other in Portland. Really! We take the best of our offerings to create a weeklong event that is affordable, unique, action-packed, and wildly fun. If you’re child has been to one of our camps before, than you know exactly what we’re talking about. If not, you need to find out what you’ve been missing!

Black Friday Parent’s Night Out!

That’s right, November’s Parent’s Night Out is Black Friday, the 25th. Whether you need to do some shopping sans the kids, recoup from a whirlwind of sales or spend some alone time after the busy holiday, do it The Playground Gym way! Drop your kids off at 6:30 and return by 10. We’ll run them, feed them, run them some more, and then watch a movie on our 12-foot screen. They’ll love it and so will you! Also, you get triple points from Supportland if you are member. Nice!

The Playground Gym voted Portland’s Best Indoor Play Space!

Over 140,000 parents cast their votes across multiple categories in Red Tricycle’s Totally Awesome Awards, and The Playground Gym came out tops for Portland’s Best Indoor Play Space! Many Portland area schools are having Halloween events on Friday the 28th, so we’ve moved our Halloween-themed PNO one week earlier to this Friday, the 21st!
